Enjoy Copenhagen in a different way
Take a tour in a rickshaw with a private driver and local guide. The guide naturally speaks Danish and English, but we also have multilingual guides available. Spanish, German etc..
The tour starts at Kgs. Nytorv by the stairs to the Metro, closest to Strøget (Walking Street), unless otherwise agreed. From here you drive to Nyhavn and get a bit of history. Then you visit Amalienborg Castle, home of Denmark's newest King Frederik X and his wife Queen Mary. Here you will hear about Sofie Amalie, the creation of Frederiksstaden and Marble Church. See The Little Mermaid (optional) and then you drive around Ofelia Plads and Skuespilhuset, up Havnegade and hear about the 3 big fires and King Christian IV's buildings. From here you continue along the water and under the BLOX building to Kalvebod Bølge (The Wave), where you will hear about the area of Islands Brygge and the reasons why Copenhagen has the world's cleanest metropolitan water with bathing zones. Some nice pictures will be taken of you by the water with your own phone, if you wish. After this, you pass the Town Hall Square and stop at Gammeltorv/Nytorv, where the old Town Hall was located until it burned down in 1795. The tour then goes to Gråbrødertorv (Grey Brother's Square), which was considered the very center of the city and lies on top of the ruins of an old Franciscan monastery. Here you will hear about cheating munks and later the horrific story about business man Corfitz Ulfeldt who got married to King Chr. IV's daughter Leonora Christina and how they were convicted of treason. The last stop is in Copenhagen's oldest preserved backyard, where H.C. Andersen sat and wrote one of his famous fairy tales...
Subsequently, you can be driven to where you want in the center of Copenhagen or to where you agree with the guide.
There is room for 2 adults (and possibly a small child) in a rickshaw and up to 5 rickshaws can be ordered at once.
You are welcome to bring and enjoy your own drinks on the tour.
