Terms and conditions

Before you book...

When you contact us to book a ride, we need the following:

Date and time you want to use the rickshaw(s)
How many adults and children are you?
What is the address you want to be picked up at?
What is the address you want the ride to end at?
At what time do you need to be at the end destination?

We agree on a fixed price in our telephone conversation or email correspondence.

PRICES & INFO

A normal ride costs from €54 per rickshaw incl. pickup.
2 hours guided tour with an English speaking driver costs €242 per rickshaw.

RULES
According to Copenhagen Municipality there may sit no more than 2 adults and 2 children under the age of 8 in a normal rickshaw, but exceptions can be made if it's justifiable and safe.

The rickshaws also run when it rains.
Remember to check the weather forecast well in advance.

BOOKING
All sightseeing tours and driving from A to B with more than 4 rickshaws must, as a rule, be booked and paid for, no later than 10 days before the tour (unless when booked later, there are available times and carriages).

Short tours from A to B in Copenhagen with 1-4 rickshaws can usually be booked within 30-45 minutes. on tel. +45 3213 2030 all days of the week 9:00 AM - 7:00 PM (19:00) and Friday and Saturday until 8:30 PM (20:30). However, the rickshaws we have access to are in short supply - therefore book as far in advance as possible.

GUARANTEED COMFORT:
All our rickshaws are cleaned, covered with a canopy, and equipped with blankets for passengers’ legs. We operate in all kinds of weather, and our covered rickshaws together with warm blankets ensure a comfortable and cosy experience – even on chilly or rainy days.

PAYMENT:
All rickshaw tours are exempt from VAT. Payment must be made no later than 5 days before the planned ride or assignment, and no later than 10 days before weddings. For companies, payment terms are stated on the invoice. Exceptions may be made by prior agreement in certain cases.

In the event of late or missing payment, Copenhagen Rickshaw reserves the right to cancel the booking. However, the full amount and booking fee(s) will still be charged, as all drivers are freelancers who reserve time specifically for the booked assignment.

BOOKING CHANGES
Any changes to an existing booking are subject to a fee of DKK 100 per rickshaw. This includes changes to the date, time, pickup address, or destination, as all modifications require rescheduling and coordination with the drivers.

CANCELLATION:
Cancellations must be made no later than 4 days before the agreed ride or tour. If cancelled in time, we only charge a fixed booking fee of DKK 100 per rickshaw for preparatory work. For weddings, film productions, gala rides, and confirmations, the booking fee is DKK 300 per rickshaw due to the additional planning and reservation of special vehicles.

If the trip has already been paid for, Copenhagen Rickshaw will refund the full amount within a few working days, minus the booking fee. As our drivers are reserved for booked tours and may therefore have to decline other assignments, bookings function similarly to ticket purchases. Therefore, advance payment is generally required for all tours and assignments.

DISCLAIMER AND INSURANCE:
You acknowledge and accept that participation in tours operated by Copenhagen Rickshaw and Guide Tours is undertaken entirely at your own risk. Any insurance coverage for potential damage, personal injury, loss or damage of personal belongings, and/or loss of time is the responsibility of your own insurance provider.We strongly recommend that you hold appropriate insurance coverage, such as home contents insurance, health insurance, and/or travel insurance.
By using the services of Copenhagen Rickshaw and Guide Tours, you agree that Copenhagen Rickshaw and Guide Tours cannot be held liable for personal injury or other damage that may occur during a tour. If you are responsible for damage, loss, or accidents resulting from unacceptable behavior, intentional misconduct, or negligent conduct in traffic or public areas, you assume full responsibility and liability for any resulting claims or compensation.
